Woke up to an inch of snow on the ground! I felt like a kid in a candy store as we took a walk on the trail. Part of the fun is that such small amount of snow can shut down much of the city. Snow day!

I dont mean to bring an old post about snow back to the forefront. After all it is now March and snow is a boring and long gone subject. I was just surfing and doing my weekly reading here to catch up on the happenings downtown. I have lived in Austin since the late seventies only having only to move away for a few years for a very lucrative job in early 2000 I was miserable at and came back.
Point being I have seen snow before in Austin but I cant remember it snowing a couple of years in a row. Especially since we rarely get snow. Maybe it is just my bad memory or I didn’t put that much thought into it. I remember working off William Cannon as an apartment manager and in either 92 or 93 they made into a law that anyone working on hvac using freon must be certified. That was when I first became aware of global warming. Call me crazy but I see a moderate change in the timing of the seasons and wonder if the reason is partially due to global warming, or just natural change. Whether or not it is I have gone green religiously. I hope others are doing the same. Knowing our children and grandchildren will have to live here I can’t see even taking a small chance that someone is wrong about it.
By the way, yes the snow was beautiful and fun.
