Whitely Paper Warehouse Under Contract

Jude Galligan | March 24, 2011 |

The Statesman is reporting that Riverside Resources has contracted to purchase the Whitely Paper site in downtown Austin’s Railyard district. You might recall 21c Museum Residences was planned for the half-block that fronts 3rd Street, between Brazos and San Jacinto Streets.

Back in 2008, 21c decided to shift gears, reducing the scope of the concept and shifting their vision closer to Waller Creek.  Since the site is located outside of a Capitol View Corridor (jpg), and has already gone through some site work, it’s an attractive opportunity for a high-rise developer.

The location could host a number of uses: hotel, residential, retail, office, or a combination of those.
