To be completed in 2010, the Austonian will be the tallest structure in Austin, Texas. 56 stories will house 188 luxury residences. The cost of the project is expected to exceed $250MM and is being developed by the Spanish firm, Grupo Villar Mir, and local developer Terry Mitchell.
You can easily spot the building, currently under construction, located on Congress Ave between 2nd and 3rd Street. Two blocks from Lady Bird Lake, two blocks from the 2nd Street Retail District, three blocks from the Warehouse District, the Austonian’s location is outstanding. For years this property was nothing more than an overflow parking lot for visitors to the Warehouse District.
Asking prices range from $500k to over $5MM.
